Aly Yancey, founder of Ace of Shades, is a U.S. Army veteran who served six years before medically retiring. She initially pursued a career in IT, working as a cybersecurity analyst for the U.S. government, but eventually realized her true passion lay elsewhere. Driven to take on a new challenge, she was intrigued on becoming a window tinter. After a year of balancing her government role while window tinting, Aly made the leap to full-time entrepreneurship on July 3, 2024. Since then, she has grown Ace of Shades from a home garage operation to one of the top-selling tint shops in her city.
